Let’s talk: Hot accessory summer

Smart phones get all the headlines, but what about those trusty accessories?

The handy little speaker that lets you take the party to the park.

The power bank that fuels your sunbathe-and-binge of Married At First Sight.

The ring light or tripod that helps you capture that perfect selfie or summer sunset.

What extras and add-ons do you use to make your phone all the more useful? What’s been your best-buy accessory?

Personally, I’m still using wired earphones and just calling it a retro look. I think it’s time to modernise, so let me know your wireless earphone recommendations too!

My only accessories are a case and screen protector. Bluetooth speakers should be banned from public places as most music seems to be thumps, bangs and clangs. My neighbour had her roof replaced and banned the roofers from playing music.

I do not mind people using headphones especially those filmed walking into lampposts.

I've got a power tube that I use as backup when I can't charge on the spot ... but it never last long enough!

My Anker power bank is my indispensable accessory. I climb and hillwalk and phone often goes dead by end of the day. The Anker can recharge my phone 5 times so always have it with me on treks.

I got some ear buds and has revolutionised the sound for my music and watching films etc, especially when travelling, great buy and well worth it.

Not sure if my fitbit counts but because I sync it to my phone I'm going with it- this is really helpful for keeping me active in the Summer and making sure I make the most of the (hopefully) great weather!

Yeah, Anker powerbank is a must have. Also I use Bose 700s — excellent quality!

I like my Bluetooth earbuds, although I must have odd shaped ears as they alway fall out. The most useful accessory is the protective case. Youngsters don't seem to bother with them. Perhaps that's why you see so many broken screens.

I have ear pods as when ever I bought a new phone I never even unpacked the wired headphones but love the freedom of wireless

I am still old school with wired earbuds,

but a Garmin smartwatch has made it a fantastic experience - without reaching for the phone at every phone call or a message.

I just love my wireless earbuds and my extremely handy power bank that is capable of charging my phone 6 times from flat, very handy when on holiday and it gives me peace of mind.

Apple AirPods 1.2 are very good, all the other generations are very poor on the ear.

I love my Apple Watch (is that classed as an accessory?!) - I love it and use it more than I thought I would, it's great for motivating me to keep mobile and active. Also love my Airpods - they're perfect for in the gym, on public transport or in the office.

I do have a pair of wireless headphones but struggle to run with them without them falling off. I prefer an old school blue tooth speaker that I can take with me on holiday and sit by the pool with.

I used my power bank recently on a different phone and it seems like it's swelled the battery, popped the screen out and ultimately broken the phone. Not scaremongering, research after the fact makes it just seem like something that can happen with certain models and compatability.

I'm a latecomer to wireless earphones, I've been using SoundPeats TrueAir2 just recently and enjoyed the experience, had a pairing problem recently but online help seems to have fixed it.

I have a power bank, a screen protector and a case. The case is good to protect the phone in case it is drop on hard floor. I broke my tablet screen when it was knocked down on tiled floor.
