As springtime rolls firmly into view and the sun starts to shine, we know that many of you maybe hopping on a plane for a well earned getaway.

No matter where you’re egg-scaping to, staying connected while you’re away matters.

Let’s look at how you can get roaming-ready this Easter!

Getting set up

To roam abroad, you’ll need to have roaming enabled on your account and phone.

Check roaming is active on your account by giving us a call on 333 or follow these steps to turn on roaming.

On most phones, you can check whether roaming is enabled in Settings under Mobile Data. Visit Device support for more information.

If you don't want to roam abroad, make sure to switch off data roaming on your device.

Good news! With Three’s Go Roam, you can use your data, minutes, and text allowances in over 160 destinations worldwide.*

What’s included with your plan?

Our Three Your Way Value and Complete plans either have inclusive roaming or Daily Go Roam passes. You can check your plan by logging into My3 or the Three app.

Daily Go Roam passes aren’t included with our Lite plans or on any older Advanced plans. To enjoy Go Roam, you’ll need to buy a Go Roam pass or pay a Daily Roaming Charge. Don’t forget, you can get up to 2 days roaming free when you buy a Go Roam pass.**

How to unlock your allowance?

You can unlock your UK allowances in a Go Roam destination by:

Using an inclusive Go Roam pass, if you have them included in your plan.

Buying a Go Roam pass, and get up to 2 days roaming free (you can buy as many passes as you like - they won’t expire if you don’t use them straight away)

Paying a Daily Roaming Charge to unlock your UK allowances (upto 12GB) for 24 hours. Important: If you have a Spend Cap on your account, it must cover this Daily Roaming Charge, plus any other charges. If not, you won’t be able to roam.

What can I use my allowances for?

You can use your allowances to:

Make calls and texts to standard landline and mobile numbers in the UK

Call voicemail and our customer services

Use up to 12GB of your data allowance

Is unlimited data more your vibe?

If you need unlimited data while you’re abroad, then a Data Passport is the answer-available in 89 destinations worldwide and just £7 for 24 hours of unlimited data.

Did you know you can buy as many Data Passports in advance as you like? They’ll sit on your account, ready to use when you need them.

Where can I purchase my roaming add-on?

If you’re looking to purchase a roaming add-on, well then, good news, it has never been easier to get roaming-ready! Just pop on over to the Three app or My3 to grab yourself a roaming add-on.

Roaming Notifications

When you arrive abroad, we’ll text you with any charges you can expect in that destination.

Unsure if you’re opted in to roaming advice of charge notifications? You can easily activate them by texting start to 330.

We’ll also let you know when any Go Roam passes or Data Passports have been activated and when they’ll end.

There’s no charge to unlock your UK call, text, and data allowances when travelling to the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland.
