Three Promotion Discount

Just received a phone call from 070 **** **** about a promotion discount for the next 12 months where the monthly payments would be half price. They were asking for my details and I suspected it was a fraud call. Can you confirm if it was?

That call definitely wouldn't be from Three, as we wouldn't use an 070 number. This may be part of the scam, as though 070 numbers look a lot like mobile numbers, they're actually a type of premium rate number that will add extra charges to your bill, a proportion of which goes to the owner of the number.

We've edited out the number for two reasons, we wouldn't anyone to call this number and incur charges, and also many numbers showing in scam calls are being "spoofed" which is a sort of software used to fake which number the calls is coming from.
