I got a cold caller from * three* he said in call from 07********* sent email from promotions@threegmobiles.com

This is scam right? Offered S24 £16 pm wanted upfront payment. £39.99

Please advise kindly

Sorry to hear about this but it'll certainly be a scam call. We wouldn't ring you from a number beginning 01, 02, or 07. We've removed the number as this will likely be a "spoof", in most cases like this the UK number being used if faked, and it may well be an active number belonging to someone who has nothing to do with this scam.

The email address is also suspicious as it's not connected with our actual site domain https://www.three.co.uk

This sounds dodgy. With situations such as this I find it’s best to assume the worst unless it’s proven to be otherwise. The phone number you annotated has been removed so I can’t comment specifically on it. The email address I would say is at best a third party telecoms company or at worst a scam not Three. If it were me I’d 1) Ignore it and 2) forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk. It’s really the old adage “if it sounds too good…” etc.
