I spent 5 hours, spoke to 8 different people from the support chat. I was told it was an app issue - it wasn't. I was told it was an account issue - it wasn't. I was told I then needed to buy a Pairing Plan, from where, the very place that was giving me the error saying '3 doesn't have plans for watches' in the Samsung wearables app.

Eventually, on the 8th support person, I was told it is impossible to pair, they cannot set up a Pairing plan, and there's nothing I can do. Despite everyone else telling me it was 'so simple, just follow the website' etc. Which of course I had already done.

I even saw a forum post from a staff member saying "you just need to buy a Smartwatch pairing plan"
- but there is no place to purchase these independently.

You would have to buy the watch directly from Three to be able to pair it, with the additional monthly cost as well. (despite being told by Samsung that it would be free to pair them, and it would share the existing plan).

Watch: Samsung Galaxy Watch7 LTE (44mm, Silver)
Phone: Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
Existing SIM plan for phone: 120GB unlimited texts and calls.

Hi @I_danog_I,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, and that the team wasn't able to get to the bottom of this with you. @Paddiewack is spot on, you need to pair like for like, Samsung phones and watches, (or Apple to Apple).

Here's a link to our smartwatch FAQs which covers this.

This is in reference to cellular pairing plans so that you can use a smartwatch whilst not in Bluetooth range of your phone, you may still be able to do local pairing whilst your devices are near each other, but that's not a Three network feature so we're limited in how much advice we can give about this type of pairing.

Thanks,
Jonathan
