There are multiple threads here about incorrect notification of data use, many saying the problem has been fixed.

I have a monthly contract, with 8GB data. This month I have been in the UK. As I was coming to the end of my billing cycle with 5+GB left, I started streaming some TV (Saturday, three days ago). After a while, I received the following SMS from Three:

Hi there,

You've used 100% of your monthly Data allowance.

Until your next billing date, rates will be charged at £0.0101 per MB.

For more info, see our price guide: three.co.uk/priceguide

To check your allowances, just log in: three.co.uk/account

The Three App said I still had 2.6GB left, but I stopped the streaming in case it was behind my true usage, and I didn't want to be charged. Searching here, I soon realised that the message incorrectly said I would be charged if I used more data. Replies here say that doesn't happen, data is just turned off.

The following morning, I got the following SMS from Three:

Hi there,

You've used 80% of your monthly Data allowance.

That means you have 1.578GB of data left for this month.

We'll let you know when you reach 100%.

For more info, see our price guide: three.co.uk/priceguide

To check your allowances, just log in: three.co.uk/account

At that time, the Three app and Website both showed I had 2.4GB left. As of today (3 days later) I still have 1.8GB left.

It looks like the warning messages are both incorrect (shouldn't say UK data is chargeable at £0.0101 per MB), and totally disconnected from actual remaining data.

Is this still a known issue at Three?
