Unknown Payments Boku

It shows on my account that I have been charged £39.99 x3 resulting in £119.97 from PSN (Playstation) through a service called "Boku". Not once did I ever make a payment to them. The account is under my name but ran by my Mother and paid for it by her. We have never heard of "Boku" before this. I am unaware of whether this is a subsrcription and if so how do I cancel it. How do I make sure this can never occur again. Shouldn't there also be a request to authorise the payment as well? Am I able to get refunded. All help needed

Hello there.

Boku is the company that handles the transactions through carrier billing for other companies. PlayStation Network is one of those companies.

For those charges to happen, someone would need to set up the carrier billing on the PlayStation with the details of the phone. In order to query the charges, you'd need to contact Boku directly. From there, you should be able to get info on what the charge is for, and in some cases, people have reported being able to get a refund from them.

You can find the Boku customer portal here: https://customer.boku.com/login

This should allow you to view details of transactions, cancel any subscriptions, and block your number from future transactions through Boku there too.
