I have just received a call from 020 **** **** from someone pretending to be Three, explaining that due to the merger with Vodafone my sim will be deactivated and needed personal details to be shared to send me a new SIM card. Please, warn your customers that they should not trust calls like that and there are other ways you communicate with them. Thank you.

Hi @AG1,

Thanks for helping raise awareness about this scam. We've removed the number from the post as these are generally "spoofed", this is where a caller ID is faked. Scammers will imitate UK landline or mobile numbers to give a false sense of legitimacy to their call, but Three wouln't use numbers beginning 01, 02, or 07 to get in touch about your account.

If you've disclosed info to the caller, we'd recommend to check out our report a problem page, and if not you can still report the scam call using the guidance on our fraud to watch out for page.

Thanks,
Jonathan
