I have similar problems , one of my family phone accounts that I pay for was compromised ny fraudsters pretending to be from Three …they even sent the adult who uses the phone a new 5 g three branded SIM card to ‘fix’ a problem we were having with a slow network . Soon as the sim was put into the phone the scammers took over the account

We contacted 3 immediately, got to a shop with our ids - shop staff they could see the scammers actively using the account from Manchester, when the phone and sim were physically with us in the shop in Wales , agreed it was fraud .. so shop staff changed the sim, ( again ) swapped the number to it, set up a new contract / new direct debit ,was told account now secure , yet still the scammers keep using details they have stil en from us. to continue to google entertainment services - which are now being charged to the new direct debit !

I cancelled the direct debit with bank, told the 3 fraud team , who promised to investigate.
it’s now past the date they said they would get back to us by

nothing back from 3 fraud team,

There seems to be nothing we can do to to stop these scum bag scammers …every day we keep getting bombarded with text messages, receipts for google and tic tic coins, ot messages to say the spend cap has been removed … the fraud continues .. we keep getting ‘ receipts’ for payments we didn’t make despite reporting its to our bank, 3 and also to the cyber fraud police

other phone companies don’t allow third party companies to charge direct debits set up for phone contracts .i couldn’t believe it when I found out that 3 has this security payment loophole - I set up the direct debit for monthly phone charges only … yet The scammers keep stealing hundreds of pounds by using my 3 account credentials to buy tictoc and google coins ( I didn’t even know there were such things as I’d never heard of tic to. Or google coins before the fraudsters stole my details

I cancelled the direct debit immediately , but when the bank investigated to reclaim the money stolen by fraudsters 3 had the audacity to tell my bank the charges were genuine

Next step if this fraud isn’t resolved it ro try to leave 3 and switch my number to a more secure phone company

Hi all

Does anybody know how the Three fraud team can be contacted directly please?

My Dad received an unexpected email yesterday with a PAC code and somebody phoned him (from a random mobile number) saying that today he would suffer an outage today because of 4G to 5G migration work and not to worry. I flagged this was a SIM swap scam, he spoke to Three customer services by phone both last night and again this morning. He was assured the PAC code had been cancelled and no transfer could take place. However the number has been cut off this afternoon, I assume transferred out. He's been on the phone to customer services for an hour now and not getting any progress.

Thanks

Three have details of what to do if you think you have been the victim of fraud and there are a couple of webpages if you Duckduckgo them. One of the links is below. Three, like many businesses but unlike banks and credit card companies, do not publish direct email or phone numbers as the departments could be swamped with bogus and irrelevant contacts.

https://www.three.co.uk/privacy-safety/report-a-problem

Same thing happend to me in april, contacted them and sorted out the problem. Unfortunately it happend again a month later, receiving a text sorry your leaving us blah blah I contacted them again, they assured me the pac etc had been cancelled. Later that day 3mobile closes my account down. They told me that there was nothing they could do on the phone, and that the only option I had was go to any 3Store with valid id. Which ATM is impossible. So no account unable to use phone because of no network coverage. Ahh but they are requested I pay my bill Sure 3mobile when you reinstall the service.
