just intercepted a call from this supposed fraud team with my 18 year old child.

she applied for her first contract today it was approved. I intercepted as he asked her for the names of the people who lived with her.

this is absolutely dodgy or bad practice at best. Why do they need this info ?

She’s now paid £30 to protect her credit as I assumed it was some dodgy scam, cancelled cards etc.

Then I’ve come on here and found out is real ? What the hell. Three you need to do better, you do not have any right to this info 😡.

When you say “I’ve come on here and found out it’s real” could you elaborate. I’ve been with Three for quite a number of years and had various contracts/devices from them. I’ve always received a call following a successful credit check verifying me. By that I mean asking how and when I placed the order my date of birth, postcode etc. At no time was I asked about persons living with me. You could do worse than check with customer service on 333 just to ensure the call was legitimate because this could have been a scam call harvesting details. It’s unlikely but better to err on the side of caution.
