Hello.

It's true that 30 days notice is needed when cancelling the contract, even if the contract has ended. This is only applicable to a standard cancellation through, and if you're planning on using a PAC or a STAC, the account will only be billed up until the point the new network completes processing of the PAC/STAC.

If you're not planning on taking your number with you to the new provider, you should be able to get a STAC from the team instead, but bear in mind a network can only activate a STAC at the beginning of the contract when it is being taken, they won't be able to do it if it's an existing contract you're trying to use it on.

If the PAC and STAC aren't an option, then the normal 30 days notice is the way you'd need to go when cancelling the account.

I am out of contract with Three. I rang to cancel the rolling contract but they told me I still need to give 30 days notice. I don't want to carry over my old number so don't want a PAC code, but the only way I can cancel the account is to give the PAC code to my new provider. I requested a STAC code but they just keep sending me the PAC code over and over again. Is this correct? I don't see how they can charge me an additional 30 days when I am out of contract. I have found trying to cancel with Three to be the most miserable and infuriating experience I've had in a long time.

Likewise rang 3 thirty days before my contract ended. Wasted my breath on that one. Bet there told to squeeze another month from you. Very underhand
