&lt;P&gt;We're taking steps to help make sure customers with older devices are given notice and support with the 3g switch offs. I could definitely see scammers seeing this situation as an opportunity though. My understanding is that we're offering upgrades rather than completely new phones to affected customers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you're not sure if a communication in genuine, then customer services can check your account to be certain it came from us.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'd also be happy to take a closer look, if you can share the info that was emailed to you? Just make sure to remove any personal/private info if you post this to the community.&lt;/P&gt;
