topic Getting a Dead Number in Account and services

I have recently been locked out of one of my email accounts and as 2FA was enabled, it is asking for my phone number associated with the account to send a verification code. I have changed my contract and number and so I no longer have access to that number, thus being unable to regain access. I have called and messaged the old number to see if I could have the new owner of the number help me out but the number is dead.

Is there anything I can do? I’m willing to take out a new contratct in order to reallocate this number back to me or if three can tell me what the verification code is so I can gain access to the email account to then change the number associated with the account. There has to be some option or even a service that deals with these kinds of things as it seems to be a fairly common issue.

Good luck with that. You will need to contact the email provider and explain to them the situation. Like you said this is a common thing so they should have a process for this.
