      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi I am wondering if anyone can assist me I have found a good deal with three but it’s not a upgrade deal&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;three have said I can port my number to a new contract but I am wondering if I was to port my number to a different network then take a new contract out with three and then port my number over that way is this the best way?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It's usually intended to do an upgrade rather that take out a new line. Did you speak with the upgrades team to check if they could match this? If they can't for some reason, what you've described is possible.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'd recommend if porting out and back in to take a PAYG SIM from the new provider though, rather than taking on an unnecessary extra credit check with another provider, then another one with Three for the "new" line.&lt;/P&gt;
