Simple Question: Does Go Roam Around the World Extra 14 day add on Expire?

Going to India for 8 days next month.
I'm on a legacy Unlimited package and don't have any Go Roam passes so need to buy a "Go Roam Around the World Extra" 14 day add on.

I will be going back again in 2025. If I buy a 14 day pass and use 8 days, will the 6 days still be available next year say or is it a "14 day period" once the addon is activated when I land?

Once you use any of your normal allowances in India the 14 day pass will activate and the 14 days will start. Unfortunately you can’t bank any days if you used less than the 14 days.

Hi @Marcus3,

We monitor and review everything posted on the Community but the intention is for this to be a collaborative peer to peer space. I'm happy to confirm @MZone is spot on here. Once you activate the Add-On by making your first roaming usage, this will run for the next consecutive 14 days.

In the situation you've described, I think the cost effective solution is to buy the 7 day pass, then let day 8 trigger as the standard £7 rate.

Hey @Marcus3,

Ah sorry, I assumed when you mentioned the Go Roam ATW Extra add ons that you were familiar with this. Happy to explain, each Go Roam group of destinations has a standard daily fee which is charged when you first access your allowances on any particular day, if you don't have appropriate Roaming Passes included in your plan or an Add on.

Go Roam ATW Extra destinations will charge £7 per day to unlock your allowances, when you first make a UK call, send a UK text, or use data.

In the end it was just too confusing and unclear so to remove the risk of huge costs I've just renewed my plan and chose "Unlimited Complete SIMO 24M" which gives me 56 "1 day Roam All the World Extra" benefits so I can use these as needed.

I do wish it was clearer though for the old account I was on. Almost as if it's made complex to encourage people to do what I did and commit for another 24 months.
