The WPS method if joining a network is no longer considered secure so modern routers no longer have a WPS button.

I also have a Cannon M3600 printer (very nice printer for the price) but my memory is no longer any good and I can't remember what I needed to do 😞 but it is possible - check printer documentation online

Alternatively most Three routers support setting up a guest network and if you give the guest network the same details as your old router then the printer, other devices and visiting friends and family can continue to use the sane WiFi details as before

You need to specify exactly what Router, and there'll ALWAYS be an alternative way to connect

if you read printer documentation.

finally, i found the solution.

there is no need to use the WPS button.

Instead, I need to press some buttons on the printer in a specific order and it works.

Thank you for not telling us what the specific order is. Not at all annoying! - Even after wasting half a day trying to connect a printer.
