outside ariel for home broadband hub

I've got the home broadband hub, and though the speed is great when it's there, we live in a bit of a mobile dark-spot, so phone reception isn't reliable.

There seem to be 4 tiny gold pins on my broadband hub, and I'm guessing you can plug an external ariel in there.

I think an ariel on the outside of my house would help, so where do I get one, how much should I pay, and what models should I be looking for?
