I agreed to renew and Three said we will send you new equipment including an outdoor hub - never again, do not accept any upgrade to an outdoor hub. I am now on my fourth in 10 days and second sim card. Still not working correctly, see attached pictures. Speeds are reversed I have ridiculous high upload speeds which is 2-3 faster than the download speed. It is the outdoor hub itself. I have connected the outdoor hub via the POE to the laptop and run the test and i still get the same crappy speeds. It is nothing to do with the house, the eero, the sim card , the signal strength, the position etc. The outdoor hub has 95-100 strength plus if the signal was good how would I get 100mbps upload? The sim card is my second sim card and when I put that into a iPhone and run a speedtest the speeds are the correct way round I get 160-200mbps download and 60-70 upload which is what you would expect. This is the fourth outdoor hub and they all behave the same.

Through a process of elimation the mast, the signal strength, the sim, the eero, the cables are fine. It appears to be the outdoor hub.

Does anyone one else have this issue or any suggestions?

Occasionally the signal also stop completely for a few seconds.

Cheers

Hi @SLOTHY,

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the Outdoor Hub.

It's definitely not a universal experience, I've seen plenty of test results against that device, and this is the first I recall hearing about upload speeds exceeding downloads. 4 devices having the same fault seems exceptionally unlikely too, so there may be more than one factor involved.

I'll be happy to flag your feedback up to see if there's any known issues I'm not aware of personally, and check how we can investigate further.

Just to understand your experience a bit better, we generally offer the Outdoor hub where the local coverage means it is preferable to the indoor devices. Were you encountering issues with your indoor router, and has a swap back to indoor not been considered?

Thanks,
Jonathan
