Hi @Afollowd,

There's a couple of things that could be causing this.

It may be that some of your messages are being sent over data/Wi-Fi. This is usually called RCS, or sometimes chat, on Android, or iMessage for iPhones. If this is still going on, then you may need to switch off these services in the settings of the old phone.

Alternatively this may be an issue where your port hasn't completed fully. Very rarely there can be delays or issues in receiving files from the old provider, and this can result in some calls/messages going to the old SIM/Network in error.

Are you still running into issues with this now a few days have passed? If there's still any issues, let me know and I'll direct you to some more help with this.

I have recently moved over from Vodafone to Three. I got my pac code and its all transfered over however, I've sent a message from my new phone and the responses from who I've messaged are going to my old phone even though it shows no network and my number has been transfered over? It's been well over 24hrs and I've been able to make calls and received calls/messages on my new phone, just certain messages are going to my old phone?

Can anyone help

Thanks

My number should have fully ported yesterday to 3 but when I text it isn’t coming from the number I ported over but from the 3 number? I’ve tried turning my phone off etc etc but it’s still doing it so no one can text me

Just to clarify is the issue specifically with texts? Or do your outgoing calls also show the Three number instead of the ported one?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi I am having the same issue with all 4 sims that we have just swapped. We have had confirmation that the numbers have swapped however in phone it shows the 3 numbers we were given for iMessage still yet calls work on numbers we moved across.

Hey @Docajo2630 ,

Thanks for getting in touch.

To confirm, the new numbers work successfully but iMessage is showing the original numbers? When you check your SIM settings/manager, does the correct number show here?

To update your iPhone number:

Go to Settings > Phone > My Number

If you see your old temporary number which came with your SIM, you may be able to replace it with the number you're transferring.

Use +44 instead of the first 0.

Tap Save.

To update iMessage:

Go to Settings > Messages.

Tap iMessage to On.

Scroll down to ‘Send & Receive.’

Check the right number has been ticked.

Thanks,
Michael
