Hello are you fully credit checked to upgrade to a handset if you are currently on a sim only deal. Does your current payment history get taken into account when upgrading? Thanks.

Hi Chris

Have you ever had a handset on the account before or has it always been a sim only.

If you have not had a phone then a small sim to handset credit check will be done and payment history can play a big part in that.

You can try to upgrade from a sim to handset after you had it for at least 3 months

Thank you Dan. With other networks I've never been credit checked when upgrading from a sim only. This is my first time being with the three network so wasn't sure. Thanks for letting me know I appreciate it.

I have bad credit score and on a sim only contract will I still be able to upgrade to a device

I've had a sim and G4 portable modem for three months, now I've been refused a phone deal,I have no phone for the sim,so basically the deal is a wast of time,if I can't have a phone then I don't want the sim or modem contract.
