Hi, for the past week or so I've been unable to use my phone as usual due to the bootlooping issue mentioned in the title. I'm not exactly looking to get a new phone atm, and I've tried everything from clearing cache to performing a full factory reset of my device.

Looking around the internet this appears to be a common enough problem, but not ubiquitous, and samsung support are charging outrageous prices for full motherboard replacements and the like.

Are there any other possible fixes or should I just give up on it?

Hi @Aug3rmachina,

Do you know if your phone is still under warranty? Usually this will be 24 months from purchase provided you've bought it new. If the issue is down to a Samsung software update, I'd expect they'd cover this under warranty, and if they think this is exempt, I expect they should quote what the charge will be and get consent before proceeding with the repair.

It may also be worth checking if they have a means to roll back the software for you? I'm not too familiar with this issue, but if it's the software driving this rather than actual damage to the motherboard perhaps this can be restored to the previous version?

Thanks,
Jonathan
