I have bought my daughter a child’s smart watch and it requires a 2G SIM card, can you still get 2G SIM cards

Yes you can still get them;but not on the Three network as it doesn’t and never has used 2g.

@Paddiewack is spot on here. Three doesn't operate a 2G network, and we've almost completely decommissioned 3G now, so it sounds like unfortunately the watch you're describing isn't compatible with Three's services. Sorry about this, but it's quite unusual to see a 2G only device, most hardware is operating on at least 4G these days.

apologies I have bought a device that requires a 2g connection and the sim I have just set up isn’t working.

Hello there.

No, this hasn't changed. There still isn't a 2G service on the network. This is unlikely to change as far as I know, since Vodafone were also going through the same process of decommissioning the older wireless technology.

Most phones released now feature 2G network protection modes which prevent those devices from ever connecting to 2G networks due to the security issues 2G networks have. I find it unlikely that VodafoneThree would go out their way to invest in such an old and risky technology.
