&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.three.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/23804"&gt;@Paddiewack&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;is spot on here, the 3G service is almost totally decommissioned, so devices which don't support 4/5G are only going to pick up very sparse signal, and this will only reduce as time goes on and the last masts on 3G are upgraded to the newer technology.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You don't specifically need a different SIM, but it's just down to the coverage whether you'll pick up any service or not, and if you happen to be in a 3G area we can't guarantee how much longer that would be for.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I too used to enjoy BlackBerry’s but the reality is that 3G is being switched off with Three saying it’ll be gone for good by the end of this year. So I think your device is destined to lay dormant.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
