&lt;P&gt;Welcome to the Three Community.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That's quite strange. Here's some things worth trying or checking.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're on a dual SIM phone, make sure the SIM that's making the call is the Three SIM.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're abroad, you won't be able to set up Voicemail until you're back in the UK.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Try turning off Wifi then call the Voicemail number to complete set up.&lt;BR /&gt;Try turning the phone off and back on in case there's just a glitch in the current connection.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Hopefully one of these things help resolve the issue for you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Voicemail not working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I have just setup my new phone this week but the voicemail is not working. Well I do get a text informing me that a message has been left. But when I ring 123 the call does not connect and times out.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a fault at three? Or is there a something I've missed as never had this issue before.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You've probably figured out your issue by now, but for others coming to this thread, it may be that Three have switched off 3G in your area and your phone can't support 4G calls except by using data. So you might not receive calls (no ringing, nothing in call log), get a voicemail notification message, but not be able to call voicemail to retrieve it, all while having apparently 5 bars of signal. This seems to confuse Three helpdesk, even though it is down to Three switching off 3G. If like me you're a very low user of your phone "as a phone" and you're with Three as one of the last providers of a genuine PAYG offer, it's also frustrating to be told that the only way round this is to buy a data bundle!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you switch your network preferences to 2/3G rather than 2/3/4G you can see if there's still 3G coverage in your area. It looks as though I might have only been able to make and receive calls for the last few months when I've been abroad and/or out in the boondocks with no 4G signal&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;same issue with me, no voicemail for a couple of month, no matter which number I try. Also, many times I do not receive calls but it switches automatically to voicemail- which is unavailable, and it is disturbing. No point to switch to a data bundle or buying a newer phone, but this glitch should be fixed bt Three very soon. It is extremely annoying and I really think to switch provider now, even though I am with three for ages.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;So just to check you call Voicemail and the line is totally silent and doesn't connect, or do you hear or see any error message? Are any other calls failing for you?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.three.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/20260"&gt;@Lilith6600&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;mentioned, this could relate to the 3G switch off, I'd recommend to check our article&amp;nbsp;&lt;LI-MESSAGE title="How to ensure your phone is ready for the 3G switch off" uid="36142" url="https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Network/How-to-ensure-your-phone-is-ready-for-the-3G-switch-off/m-p/36142#U36142" discussion_style_icon_css="lia-mention-container-editor-message lia-img-icon-forum-thread lia-fa-icon lia-fa-forum lia-fa-thread lia-fa"&gt;&lt;/LI-MESSAGE&gt;&amp;nbsp;as this gives a a few suggestions on settings you can check which may resolve this.
