Roaming expired

My account is a month to month sim which has Roaming included but my account says roaming has ‘expired’. Any ideas?

Hello there.

Welcome to the Three Community.

Your My3 account keeps a record of previously applied add ons. Is it perhaps an old Roaming Pass that's showing in the expired list?

I have the same. Says 3000 minutes left of 3000 minutes but expired. Same for text messages 🤷🏾‍♂️

just to add. This is after my auto renewal was added this morning so full allowance.

Hi @MyThreeLD,

As Pete mentioned on the previous reply to this thread, you may still see expired balances on your account. Are you abroad now and unable to make calls or texts out?

It isn’t an expired balance. It is shown under current allowances immediately after account is updated. I am in UK now but regardless of that full allowance shouldn’t show as expired regardless of location. Otherwise what’s the point ?

Hi Maxine

I also have this issue on my PAYGO account. Have not been overseas since last November. Hoping to go away shortly and certainly do not wish to find when I am abroad Go Roam is not working. Any thoughts please. Many thanks.

There is no issue with Go Roam. You just need to have an allowance, and as long as you're within the fair use limit, you can use the phone in Go Roam destinations.

This is incorrect. I have allowance. Currently in Netherlands and unable to make or receive calls.

This just sums Three up. Bear in mind I’m in NL so time shown is actually an hour ahead. Still well within the opening times yet they claim to be closed !

Actually ! The call issue may be a network fault but still no excuse for the chat issue !

Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so. A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  

We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures.

We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network.

Can you confirm that your allocated roaming allowance is also showing as expired? What have the team advised when you have spoken to them?

Did anyone get a fix for this? I have the same issue (live chat was simply no use). Data works fine, receiving calls/ texts is fine. Outward bound when abroad is blocked:

My app is still showing Expired. Spent considerable time with Three Support being transferred from pillar to post without any real satisfaction. The only thing I have been told is not to worry "you still be able to roam around the world within you allowances". I asked for the issue to be escalated to IT Support but appears this has not occurred. I am sorry Three this really is poor customer service. How can I believe I am not going to have issues roaming when my account status says otherwise? Will someone from Three please take ownership of this issue and resolve it, it really should not be too much to ask.

Hello.

My understanding is that it shows as expired until you use your allowance in a Go Roam destination. Then it should work.
