My mobile data has been completely useless for days now, it only shows 5g (Which is pretty much useless on my phone) and on the rare occasion it shows 4g and my phone is actually working, it's only for like a couple seconds. It's genuinely starting to annoy me and I just want my data back.

Hello, Caylem.

That's not so great, and it seems strange that the internet only works when on 4G. Is that issue happening in a specific area, or is it everywhere you go?

Pete.

It was everywhere I went no matter the service or anything, it's mostly fixed now but on occasion it will happen for a while

Hi @Caylem,

Glad to hear your connection has been working much better more recently. It's unlikely this is down to any fault with a mast or local network issue if it's happening everywhere. Some slow down issues can be associated with device memory rather than signal. Here's a few suggestions which may help generally improve your phone's performance.

It may help to check for and remove unwanted/unused apps and files.

Try clearing the storage and app cache for your browser periodically. This data generally helps your frequently visited sites load quicker, but will build up to several GB over time, and as sites change and are updated can instead start causing slow down.

Try resetting your network settings. (if you do this it will forget saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices too, so we usually suggest this last after testing other troubleshooting).

Hope this helps,
Jonathan
