My number transfer request got failed from trying to get my old number from giff gaff to three. I was speaking to customer service on three and they needed a new PAC code but my old sim got deactivated. I was told to get in contact with my previous provider and ask for a new pac code. I spoke with my old provider and they said everything was done on their side of the transfer and if there is any problem with the number transfer or pac code then it’s all up to three because giff gaff can no longer deal with the transfer due to it showing as confirmed on their side.

Hi @Muj11,

Sorry to hear about this. Generally the old service should only switch off when the port has been requested, so that's odd that our team have asked for another PAC. I'm not aware of any current wider issues with porting at the moment, so usually customer services would raise an investigation with our porting teams.

When you get in touch again, confirm with the team your new Three number, the number you're porting in, the PAC, and what date it was expected to port. It can take time to investigate a late port, but that should normally resolve an issue like this.

Failing this, did the team provide any explanation of why we think you need a new PAC, did they say the PAC had expired, or give any other info?

Thanks,
Jonathan

We never heard back from you, was your porting issue resolved in the meantime since posting?
