Had 3 broadband with ZTE MC888 hub, which isn't even on the listed devices on the website.no issue for first 4 months with speeds of plus 800mbps download, then over last few days its tanked down to a max of 116mbps, and at the same time all my Xbox devices and no saying I have an MTU problem and NAT type keeps switching.

has anyone else had or resolved this issue, I understand i'm not the only one,

FYI both the SIM and Router have been changed while this is happening without any improvements.

thanks

Hi @Ziggy74,

I'd recommend to check that UPNP is enabled in your router admin, and also you may find better results if you set your APN profile to manual using 3internet as your APN and PDP type IPv4. There's more info about this fix in this thread: <LI-MESSAGE title="FYI : IPv6 Prevented VPN Connection" uid="14851" url="https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Broadband/FYI-IPv6-Prevented-VPN-Connection/m-p/14851#U14851" discussion_style_icon_css="lia-mention-container-editor-message lia-img-icon-forum-thread lia-fa-icon lia-fa-forum lia-fa-thread lia-fa"></LI-MESSAGE>

Thanks,
Jonathan

This won't fix it, the MTU is being handled at Three's end. It seems to start very low and increase when a connection is open, then drop back down once it's closed. But that just doesn't work well enough for many games and other apps.

It needs at be 1492 (so 1500 with the header), like every other modern network.

A workaround is switch to the "three.co.uk" APN which is their mobile network and for some reason doesn't have the issue. But then port forwarding won't work.
