Network issues

I moved to Three two years ago from O2. I was c sick of having no service wherever I want.

Up until 2/3 weeks ago I'd had no issues at all with Three. Since then nothing but issues.

More often than not I've no service when I'm out if the house. It occasionally picks up but for the most part nothing. I can't text, make calls, use the internet or anything.

I know Three are phasing out their 3G , so I'm assuming this is the problem ? My phone is a Galaxy S20 5g. I have no option in the settings for any 4G connection - just 3G & 5G. Is my only recourse to buy a more modern phone ?

The Three app says we can log on to Vodafone now. I have tried that but it just won't work.

I'm not very tech savvy so II'm not sure if they're another obvious solution.

I'm 99.9 per cent sure that the S20 handset will be fine.

Have you tried connecting to LTE?

I've tried the option from the Netwiork Mode settings of autoconnect to 3G/5G/LTE but it doesn't seem to make much difference. Thanks anyhow.

When you make a call does your handset stay on 4G/5G?

If you have the option in your settings to enable VoLTE/4G Calling then switch it on, as that may make a difference.

In the settings I have VoLTE calls enabled. There's no mention of any 4G option anywhere though.

I’m having very much the same issues- even more so with my 4g hub, and frankly I’m getting fed up with this now

It's so frustrating. And it has implications when I'm out using public transport. Trying to check bus and train times is impossible.
