Hey @Soheil1363,

Glad to hear this has came in handy for you! We do mention that you can call and text with the Wi-Fi calling service on our Wi-Fi calling support page, but I get where you're coming from, simply hearing the name you'd assume it's just for calls.

I'll happily pass the feedback on. 🙂

as per THREE chat

"I’m sorry, but Wi-Fi doesn’t support SMS delivery—it’s a feature that relies on your phone’s mobile network. Please follow the steps we’ve provided to help resolve the issue.\"

let me know if you need your operators details

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been advised incorrectly on this, and I'll be happy to feed this back.

I've checked and the info that customer services have on Wi-Fi calling does state: "With Wi-Fi Calling, customers can call and text whenever they’re on Wi-Fi in the UK, even if there’s no mobile signal and without the need for an app." so their guidance is very clear.

Just to clarify have you been having trouble sending texts when on Wi-Fi, or was this purely in regards to the incorrect info?

Thanks,
Jonathan

ported across and problems with OTP texts (at least) arriving still not fixed

given above two separate instances of false claims from chat then question what THREE are actually doing - if wont even recognise fault then how do they claim working on it ?

i have the transcripts of chats with ID reference if you need them - already at escalated complaint stage but still nothing back from that side

all worked fine with ID Mobile sim and Plusnet physical copper line broadband

regret ever entering THREE store to leave with 5G home hub and separate phone sim

It might be worth resetting things again while waiting for an outcome to your complaint.

I'd recommend turning Wifi calling off, then resetting the network settings on the phone via the reset menu. Once that's done, restart the phone and give it a few minutes to set up the mobile connection again. Once it's done and the mobile connection is working, turn the Wifi calling back on, and check to see if you're still having the issue.
