I am going to the far east and need to use my phone, do I buy a separate SIM card or does 3 do a sim for there phones so that you don’t end up paying huhh charges! Hep please,

Welcome to the Three Community, and I hope your planning for the trip is going well 😊

Roaming access through your current subscription will depend on which plan you have.

Some Pay Monthly plans may have some roaming allowances built in, but there would otherwise be a daily charge of £2 (Go Roam Europe), £5 (Go Roam Around the World), or £7 (Go Roam Around the World Extra).

You can see which countries are covered in each band here.

For Pay as You Go customers, a portion of active packs can be used in Go Roam and Go Roam Around the World destinations.

Please pop your plan details and destination here on the Roaming page. This should offer some clarity on what you need to roam.

If you fall into the daily charges bracket, you can also purchase purchase, 3, 5, 7, or 14-day Go Roam passes, which will help you to save over a set number of days.

Please make sure that you have roaming switched on in your device settings and that your spend cap is set high enough to allow for daily charges, if applicable.
