Stupid question but you have turned on roaming? Can you manually select a network?

Hi @Icky,

Are you still experiencing this issue? When you say there's no coverage, your phone is showing no signal, or a message like emergency calls only?

The USA has already shutdown 3G in most locations, so this may be the issue, there's some further info and links that may be of help in <LI-MESSAGE title="4G Calling Abroad" uid="12896" url="https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Network/4G-Calling-Abroad/m-p/12896#U12896" discussion_style_icon_css="lia-mention-container-editor-message lia-img-icon-forum-thread lia-fa-icon lia-fa-forum lia-fa-thread lia-fa"></LI-MESSAGE>

As @sc1999 mentioned, manually selecting a network may help, as you may find that the network your phone is trying to connect to automatically has an issue. Usually this can be found by setting "network selection" or "carrier selection" to manual, then if you test the different networks on the list available hopefully one should connect successfully.

If you do set up a manual network selection, remember to set this back to automatic when returning to the UK, or if you visit another country before returning.

Thanks,
JonathanB

I have this same problem now -- have tried everything and cannot even select a network manually. Any suggestions? I have turned on roaming etc.

Hello there.

You might need to get your account checked to make sure it's set up for International Roaming. You can do that with the support team.
