Iphone 12 still showing temp number after number ported

My old number has been ported successfully, but my iphone 12 still shows the temp sim number in settings and for imessage and facetime.

i have restarted the phone multiple time.

On an android phone the only way change it is to get a replacement SIM as the number shown is the number that was originally programmed into the SIM.

When I ported my number into Three I had to manually change the number in settings and FaceTime and then wait for FaceTime to be activated. I too have an iPhone 12.

That certainly used to be the case for me too, but not any longer.

The number updated automatically across all areas of my handset, after a successful port.
