I am finding conflicting answers on the website.
If you are in one of the 71 countries but don’t want to buy the data packs and have zero spending cap.
can you still receive calls and texts from UK?

Hi @Blurkle,

Sorry for any confusion. Go Roam passes are for unlocking your allowances, and cover outgoing calls, texts, and using mobile data. Incoming calls and texts are free, so they don't trigger Go Roam. We've recently updated our Roaming Destination checker. If you check the destination out there, you should see a list of all outside allowance charges, and that receiving calls and texts are free.

Thanks,
Jonathan

What if you don't have a plan? I'm on the standard pay as you go, with no monthly fee or add ons. Do I pay to receive calls when I’m abroad?

Not sure (or it's not clear) if this applies to me. I don't have a contract or add ons or data packs. I just have a pat as you go phone. I'm travelling to Hong Kong. Do I have to pay to receive calls? It seems a pretty simple yes or no question, but no one seems to be able to answer me.

You'd have to buy a Data Pack in order to be able to use the services. If there's no pack available, you'd be subjected to charges whilst in Hong Kong.

All the info is available in Jade's post and, you can click the link for all the information on the website.

Hello @Brisey635,

That doesn't sound right, especially if you've connected to a local network and roaming is currently active.

Are you able to receive calls and texts, or does it not work both ways?

Do you see/hear a specific error message? Which device make model are you using?

Please consider resetting your network settings - this will remove saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, but can be helpful in refreshing your connection.

Thanks,
Michael
