Hi there

i hope that you are well.

if i am abroad and i divert my three mobile number to a voip landline number… will anyone calling me then hear a local dial tone rather than an international dialling tone?

I am aiming to avoid people calling me knowing that I am abroad.

Hi @User101,

Sorry we can't definitively answer this, if you're roaming, even with a divert we expect the call will hand over to the local roaming network temporarily so the dial tone may change from the UK one. This ring can vary from destination to destination or network to network in my experience.
