Not receiving calls on mobile broadband PAYG SIM

I have a mobile broadband PAYG SIM, which used to be able to receive calls - I tried calling a freephone number and it also appears to be stuck.

I tried ringing myself from another phone - it has a ring tone but then disconnects after a while but the SIM does not ring at all. Not sure what's going on, and wondered if anyone else is having a similar issue?

just because you were able to receive calls before doesn't mean you should still receive calls on a data only(?) SIM I bet you didn't contact support to complain about it 😀

Hello there.

Those SIMs are generally configured for Data use only, but if my memory serves me, they did ring in the past when called. There's a chance of issues though, and while I haven't personally tested it, those SIMs lack a normal phone profile, so wouldn't work with Wifi calling or VoLTE. Since one of those two things are needed in order for calls to work now, this could be why it no longer rings or connects.
