New Phase 9 mast

September 2023 work started at CF64 4NR [outside a Tesco] at the end of my street to plant a phase 9 mast.

April 2024 it was complete with fibre & power connected & hardware in the cabinets. However it's the end of 2024 & it's still not powered on.

[There has been some 5G tests from the main site for my village that was only for a few days this year & going out at very low power.]

Any thoughts when this new mast might be powered up as it's been ready from a visual point of view for around 8 months.

Hi @welshwarriorjmx,

Sorry we don't have access to much information about masts that haven't activated yet, but my understanding is that there's quite a lot of other work that is completed between the initial erection of the mast and when it goes live, so this can take several months in some cases unfortunately.

If you don't have 5G coverage yet, then then best way to get updates is to register your interest in 5G here.
