Retrieving lost text messages

Hello everyone, I have lost my old phone which had some sentimental text messages on it, is there anyway to get them back be requesting my data or something like that

Welcome to the Three Community.

If you backed up your data through a cloud/storage system, it may be possible to retrieve these text messages.

Unfortunately, if there was no manual or automatic back-up in place and the phone is now lost, there would be no way to gain access to the messages.

My first thought is that if you had an iPhone and backed it up to iCloud;depending on how long ago your messages were sent/received you may be able to download a previously uploaded backup and restore your messages that way. I’m not too au fait as regards android though but I believe there’s a Google drive back up option;but again it depends on if you backed things up and the passage of time. Good luck.
