Declined upgrade due to credit check

Fledgling

Been with three for years never missed any payments. Decided to upgrade early and was declined at the credit check. Good credit score across numerous accounts, no missed payments. Was told to contact Experian which I did, no hard search was completed by three just a soft search for identity check. Totally disgusted and no one can tell me why.
Seen a few people on here having the same issues, now my upgrade meant I would be paying 20 pound less a month…. Something suspicious about this and will be leaving three once I pay my contract off early.

Here we go again with the I’m leaving Three bit. It’s dam disappointing to be declined an upgrade but the fact is that it’s a company not a charity and it will have a credit limit for each customer based on the company business model. It’s not personal and you shouldn’t take it as such.

Who said I was asking for charity? I have spent years building up good credit and maintaining no missed payments. This will now go on my credit file as being refused credit and will damage that. How is it not personal when I’m the one being affected? Why would I stay with a company with I’m dissatisfied with their service lol

Get off your high horse mate before you fall. Nobody said you were seeking charity 🙄 I said that Three were a business and you also said that they completed a soft credit check which leaves absolutely no mark at all on your credit file.  And I always laugh to myself when people say they’re leaving. Just do it if that’s your intention and leave all the huffing puffing and wind at the door.
