Renewed contract fair usage limit issue

CiaranT
Fledgling

About a week or two ago I renewed my contract and changed my plan from 12GB to 60GB with 70 days of eu roaming. The man who did this for me promised me that I would have 60gb of data to use whilst abroad, but my fair usage limit was not changed, so I am still capped at 12GB of roaming data unless I pay for more. But I shouldn’t have to since I was told that I would have the full 60gb. So now I am stuck and unable to use my data, since I have hit my old fair usage limit of 12gb. This is a big issue and very disappointing since I was told I would have 60gb of roaming data when I renewed my contract but at the minute I only have 12gb.

The only way you can get more than 12gb when roaming is with a PAYG SIM: see below

Hey CiaranT,

Welcome to the Three Community!

We're disappointed to hear you've been given this information about Go Roam. All of our customers have a 12GB Fair Usage Policy when roaming. This has been incorrect information and something our Complaints Team can look into for you.

I'm not aware of any current plans that go above 12gb, so if you were given that information it sounds to me to be incorrect advice. Even Value and Complete plans still have a 12gb ceiling. In the meantime you could try using Data Passports (if they're available in the country that you are visiting). Each one costs £5 for 24hrs, and you have unlimited data: they worked perfectly for me last year when I was out the UK for a little while.
