Malaysia is a Go Roam Extra destination. If you're on an older plan, you won't be able to use your allowances there. The older plans are called "Advanced" plans, and are usually plans that started over 4 years ago approximately. You can check the name of your plan on My3 to confirm if you're not sure.
If you've taken the contract much more recently, or renewed it, you'll be able to use Go Roam Extra, and depending on which plan you took, you'll either have this built in already, or will need to purchase daily passes for £7 to unlock access to your allowances.
