What a fall from grace for a company that used to provide good service to its customers. Nowdays, it runs a scam with third party apps like fuzeforge and Weezchat to scam its customers out of money. Unethical practices can't keep revenue coming from long. Continue running scams and soon you will go bust anyway. Below are the details of this scam

I have the same issue a third party call Asha Live Chat. I am 100% sure no OTP being generates and all happen two days before billing

I have also been scammed this.way. My daughter spent ages getting to the bottom of it and eventually found how to cancel it. Then she asked for the security number she had been sent but this was sent to the broadband hub so she could't see it. She then swapped the sim card of her phone with that of the hub and was able to close the scsmming account.
This did not recover any of the money, just stopped it happening sgain.
Needless to say.we had no help from Three nor our bank so have just given up and accepted the loss.

Avoid taking broadband from three!!!!

Same thing happened to me today. I am contacting three to add a spend cap but they are not allowing it. They are saying that broadband users cannot have a spend cap. So it is a loop.

Yeah for a few months have been paying a subscription to weezchat with no knowledge of it happening till I received the charge on my 3three bill. Nobody using the wifi had used it or even heard of it.
When confronting 3Three they just say they cannot issue a refund since weezchat took the money but they do it through 3three if it was directly to my bank then I would understand but when it comes to my 3three bill its a different story.
3three Just tells me to contact weezchat but seeing other reviews about this issue tells me to just avoide the headache and call my bank and get it through them, ask 3three to block weezchat and fuzeforge from trying to add subscription or charge me so it hopefully doesn't happen again. Honestly what a joke.

I've experienced this recently too. Apparently someone connected to my broadband subscribed to a Third party called "Weezchat". As the subscription was made via my broadbands number it would've been impossible for someone connected to take the steps needed to sign up for this subscription, which consist of receiving a text code, as in order to retrieve it they would've needed to login to my 3 account, and I know I definitely didn't do that either. This subscription was definitely activated Three, without any input from me or anyone else using my broadband.
I've experienced nothing but problems since signing up with Three, and as soon as I find another provider will be promptly leaving.

I agree, it is not so much how the payments got activated as how difficult it is to get any help from Three.
