Service to "legacy" phones

Fledgling

Hi I have a legacy Blackberry Keyone with on Android 8.1.0. I'm fond of it so does anybody know if 3 provide a 3 G service on any of their SIMS that would work on it?

I too used to enjoy BlackBerry’s but the reality is that 3G is being switched off with Three saying it’ll be gone for good by the end of this year. So I think your device is destined to lay dormant.

Hi @GilD,

@Paddiewack is spot on here, the 3G service is almost totally decommissioned, so devices which don't support 4/5G are only going to pick up very sparse signal, and this will only reduce as time goes on and the last masts on 3G are upgraded to the newer technology.

You don't specifically need a different SIM, but it's just down to the coverage whether you'll pick up any service or not, and if you happen to be in a 3G area we can't guarantee how much longer that would be for.

Thanks,
Jonathan
