Calls keep dropping and losing connection

It is now becoming extremely frustrating making or receiving calls.  After 5 mins or so the call drops and when connecting again it drops again and again.  Last time I spoke to Three they said they were doing some repairs in the area, but these are now complete and still the issue continues.  Anyone experiencing similar issues? and what is advised?

Yes it happens to me as well, especially on a 3 to 3 call

Hi @joe_getmet,

Sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with calls, that's especially odd that it's calls to other Three lines that are the problem.

What specifically happens, is it the same as the OP and calls are dropping after roughly 5 minutes, or is there a more random disconnection, or audio quality issue?

Have you been able to check out Network Status Checker, to see if this also relates to a local issue?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I've just come off the phone to the DVLA. They can't hear me, the line cuts out intermittently. This happens when I'm giving my details to pass security. It even happens on the phone to 3. They can't hear me when I say the verification code. It happens when I call other companies. It keeps happening. They can hear one or two words then it clips out. What is the reason for this? Yes I've checked "Network checker" it says Excellent service in your area. I've turned off mobile data on the calls, they can't hear me. I've put aeroplane mode on and off, they can't hear me. Having to constantly shout on the phone, telling my whole street my date of birth but the person on the phone can't hear me. This has been going on way too long. Can we get an honest answer to what the problem is. My phone is updated to the latest version. My sim card has been updated. Three will blame anything and everything apart from their network. Can you let me know what reasons my calls cut out???

I don't have WiFi calling on either so I've done everything I can to make sure the line is clear, even turning off mobile data. Is my phone number hacked or what exactly is the reason that calls to Landlines (companies) are cutting out every 10 seconds?? And what can I do about this as I've done everything and it continues.  There's no point calling 3 as they can't hear me either. Shouting into my phone but no one can hear me apart from my whole street. These are calls to Landlines that need no mobile data. Just a phone signal. But the signal is compromised. And it's not one time this has happened

Please don't ask me if it happens in other areas as I make calls in my HOME. Not out on the street in a different area. Why should I have to travel to another area to get a phone signal??? I'm in SW central London, not in hills and valleys or a remote farm. Central London!!!

Hello there.

Waw, that's a long time to be having the issue. Have you notice any trends or common behaviours in relation to the issue? Like, does it happen in specific places? Or does the issue go away in other places? That kind of thing.

Pete.

Yes, it's absolutely doing my head in. I get a minute or two of a clear line and then it always cuts out.

Hello.

Liz77 seemed to have success by turning off Wifi calling on the phone, have you tried that?

Pete.
