I received a call from 01980 682132 claiming to be from 3G Mobile and saying my SIM card needed changing because it wasn’t compatible with upcoming upgrades. I immediately felt something was off, so I said I was busy and hung up.
The number itself raised my first suspicion. Secondly, it seemed the caller assumed I had a physical SIM, which I don’t. I also regret even speaking briefly, as I’ve been told scammers can record your voice and use it for prompts in other apps to impersonate you.
So, folks, be careful.
