Upload speed Tanked since notice of improvements in my area post Vodafone merger

The message to explain that I should see performance improvements in my area since Vodafone and 3 have merged. I have noticed a slight uptick in download speed but conversely my Upload speed has completely tanked to about 2 Mb. I use a 5G router(Although 4G is only available in my area sadly ). I have moved my router around To try to resolve the issue with no success. The reduction in Upload speed lines up with the ‘upgrade’ time. Please could somebody look into this?  Postcode KT9 . I think it is just congestion / bad network coverage / crap data service where i am.  I am on the cusp of a 4G / 5G area, but i only pick up 4G data . i have seen my phone flick to 5G occasionally, but from a speed perspective i have noticed that it make negligible difference to 4G from an upload perspective.  Unfortunately it means i am changing back to another provider as my work from home has become unusable.  Especially when working on cloud files which auto save...

Hi @Goldfield1,

Sorry to hear that this is the outcome, hopefully there'll be a better coverage and capacity by the time your agreement with the other provider is elapsed. We're investing heavily into the infrastructure, so there should be fewer and fewer areas with "not spots" and lower/variable speeds as time goes on.

Let me know if you're having any trouble sorting out the cancellation.
