I am facing a vey strange issue and i was wondering if anyone has a solution as the 3 support team are suggesting the same thing that obviously doesnt resolve the problem but just postpones it (restart your device).
I have an iphone 17 Air with wifi calling enabled. At random times when at home or at work (so not a problem with the location) where i usually have 2-3 bars of reception i lose reception completely and wifi calling is not working.
If i restart the phone the reception comes back and if i put it on flight mode wifi calling is working. I am not sure if it's a problem with the device (same thing also happens to my wife's device - also iphone 17 Air) so it looks more like a network issue to me than a defective device.
Anyone faces the same issue and managed to find a solution?

I have an iPhone 16 pro max and coincidentally about 6 or so months ago I had this issue which started quite out of the blue after no previous issues. After consulting that old oracle Google,I tried resetting my network settings. For whatever reason that immediately sorted out the problem and I’ve not had any trouble since.
Worth a try.

I have tried that but no luck unfortunately. few days later it happened again. and the most annoying thing is that when you reset network settings it erases all saved wifi passwords so now i have to connect to all networks again manually.

Yes that’s a pain,I had to do the same. Have you been to an Apple Store? They may be able to advise as it sounds like it’s handset rather than network related. Your phone would obviously be under warranty so it’s worth calling the Apple contact number and if they can’t help they can book you an appointment at the strangely named “Genius Bar”.

Thank you. I will do that, although i find it strange as it happens on both my phones (both iphone 17 air). I may try it on my old 15 pro and see if it still happens.

Agreed but it still points to your handset(s) but yes it’s a coincidence as regards it occurring on more than one handset.
I wish you all the best in solving things.
