ASKING IF SOME PHONE NUMBERS ARE REAL 3 REPRESENTIVES' PHONE NUMBERS

IN BRIEF - HI I'M ONLY WRITING THIS MESSAGE BECAUSE I'M ASKING IF SOME PHONE NUMBERS ARE REAL 3 REPRESENTIVES' PHONE NUMBERS AS ONE PHONE NUMBER STATED AS "07366247657" HAD FIRSTLY CALLED ME FROM THAT PHONE NUMBER THEN I WAS CONTACTED BY SOMEBODY THROUGH WHAT'S-APP THROUGH THE PHONE NUMBER STATED AS "+44 7916 692741"  WHO HAD BEEN CONTACTING ME IN REGARDS TO A DISCOUNTED-CONTRACT (IN WHICH A NEW PHONE WAS INCLUDED) THAT THEY STATED WOULD HAVE ARRIVED TO MYSELF VIA DPD-COURIERS ALTHOUGH I HAD RECEIVED SOME VERIFICATION THROUGH THE REAL THREE-3 TEXT-MESSAGE SYSTEM. SO I WOULD BE GREATFUL IF S REAL THREE-3 REPRESENTIVE COULD PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH SOME HELPFUL GUIDANCE AS WELL AS ANYBOTHER HELPFUL THREE-3 CUSTOMERS WHO MAY HAVE SOME HELPFUL ADVICE FOR MYSELF WHO IS A CURRENT EXISTING THREE-3 CUSTOMER (PLEASE)? IT WAS 3 DIFFERENT PARTICIPANTS WHO HAD CONTACTED ME THOUGH THE STATED METHODS AND STATED NUMBERS AS EXPLAINED BY THE WAY. MANY THANKS ME (WHO IS AN EXISTING THREE-3 CUSTOMER).

Hi @ZainabK,

Sorry to hear that you've been targeted by fraudsters. As Paddiewack has suggested we'd only be calling from numbers beginning 03, and even then I'd advise caution as caller IDs can be faked. 07 numbers are for mobiles and our customer facing staff would never use that type of line to contact you.

It sounds like they're trying to set up a fraudulent order. I'd recommend to follow the advice here: https://www.three.co.uk/privacy-safety/report-a-problem

The simple answer to your question is all Three uk numbers start with 03……. so it’s very likely this is a scam. The point to remember is that if you didn’t ask for a phone then it’s probably dodgy to say the least and you should report it to action fraud.
