Proof of usage

Meetpatel
Fledgling

I lost my phone and SIM card, which were on the Three network. My insurance company requires proof of usage, but although I have the proof of purchase receipt, it doesn’t include the IMEI number. The IMEI is only printed on the back of the box, but both the receipt and the box share the same serial number, so it’s easy to verify the match.

However, Three insists on a proof of purchase with the IMEI number — something Apple never provides. It’s been six days now, and I’ve been calling Three’s customer service every day with no resolution. The experience has been incredibly frustrating — such poor and unhelpful service.

Hello @Meetpatel,

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your phone and SIM card.

I can see that you need to make a claim via your insurance provider for your iPhone device.

To clarify, was this device purchased directly from Three or Apple? The reason I ask is that the IMEI would be required as part of providing the proof.

What was advised by Customer Services when you've been in touch?

Thanks,
Michael
