I recently moved from EE to Three on a Complete plan that includes “Roam around the world extra”.
I’ve just realised that Three (unlike EE) does not include calling local numbers in the destination country that you are travelling to. An expensive mistake.
So if I buy a “Call Abroad” add on for £7 for 100 minutes, will that cover the calls to the country I am travelling within whilst I am abroad (assuming that country is both in the “Roam around the world extra list” and the “Call Abroad add on” list). Or will that Call Abroad add on only work in the UK?
I’ve also read posts on here that say that within Europe, you can call the country you are within using you Roaming allowance. So no Call Abroad add on would be needed - is that correct?
It’s not clear on the Three site at all!

Hello there.
When Roaming in Go Roam ATW or Extra destinations, you can call back to the UK as part of the allowance, but you can't call numbers within your destination, or to other Go Roam ATW or Extra destinations. The Calling Abroad addon is for use within the UK only for making calls to international destinations.
When Traveling in Europe and using Go Roam, you can make calls back to the UK, to the destination you're traveling in, and to other Go Roam EU destinations as well.
Pete.
